 DAY ONE  LONG HAIR: LINE + SQUARE LAYERS

Theory with Presentation

• Anatomy and head shape.
• Suitability and consultation
• Shape (square, triangle, round)
• The technique (line, graduation, layers)
• Kinetics (elevation, head position, body position, cutting angle, tension, over direction )
• Scissor handling 
• Sectioning with purpose
• Understanding head diagrams

Practical Scissor Foundation: Line + Square Layers
Building a SQUARE shape HORIZONTALLY and VERTICALLY by taking precise sections on a mannequin.

Simon Says philosophy: We demonstrate step by step, you follow step by step.

• Washing hair
• Holding scissors and a comb
• Mapping and subsections 
• Cutting square LAYERS starting from the back, sides, top
• Lunch break
• Continue cutting hair on a mannequin

Blowdrying and Styling 

• Blow drying with aim and purpose with a diffuser
• Using products to keep hair in place
• Finishing with hairspray

DAY TWO MID LENGTH:   ROUND GRADUATION

Evaluation Game

• Students will have to work together in a timely manner to put all of the head diagrams together. 
• Ex. Shapes, technique, kinetics, sections, over direction. 
  

Practical Scissor Foundation: Round Graduation
Building a ROUND shape HORIZONTALLY and a TRIANGULAR shape vertically on the sides. Build  a TRIANGLE  shape vertically and SQUARE SHAPE horizontally on the top.

• Washing hair
• Holding scissors and a comb
• Kinetics (elevation, head position, body position, cutting angle, tension, over direction)
• Mapping and subsections (different from day 1 and 2)
• Cutting starting from the sides, back, top
• Lunch break
• Continue cutting hair on a mannequin

Blowdrying and Styling 

• Blow drying with aim and purpose with a nozzle
• Using the right products to keep hair in place
• Finishing with hairspray

DAY THREE :CREATIVE CUT  

1. Introduction (15 mins)

2. CREATIVE HAIRCUT using line, layers, graduation: round, square, triangle  

• Scissor technique
• sectioning technique 
• Blowdrying technique
• Styling technique

3.  Q and A 

4. Lunch break (45 mins)

5. students will learn how to blow-dry and style hair  

6. student will learn how to finish and use a feather razor to connect the line and graduation 

7. Head diagrams (30 min)

DAY FOUR  LOOK AND LEARN 

1. Introduction (15 mins)

2. Haircut demo by INSTRUCTOR  on a Live Model (1.5 hours)

• Scissor technique
• Fading technique (GFR)
• Blowdrying technique
• Styling technique

3.  Q and A 

4. Lunch break (45 mins)

7.  Social Media : how to create a reel 

DAY FIVE   SHORT GRADUATION + TAPER 

1. Introduction (15 mins)

2. Haircut demo by Thaddeus on a Live Model (1.5 hours)

• Scissor technique
• Fading technique (GFR)
• Blowdrying technique
• Styling technique

3.  Q and A 

4. Lunch break (45 mins)

5. Students will cut using diagonal sections and then learn to fade into the scissor work. 

6. student will learn to Blow drying, styling the short graduation 

7. Head diagrams (30 min)

8. Course GRADUATION with Gradient Certificate
